Everything Bookara does

Everything below is built and works today.

Your rules decide who sees your calendar

Describe who you want to meet, and Bookara drafts a few questions and the rules that go with them. You edit both and save them. When someone answers, the fixed rules you set make the decision. AI doesn't judge your prospects, and their answers are never sent to an AI model.

  • Up to 10 questions, asked one at a time. Fewer is usually better.
  • Rules use choices, yes/no answers and numbers. Free-text answers are for your context, not for deciding.
  • People who aren't a fit see your message, plus a link to something useful if you add one.
  • In a team, the same answers route each good-fit inquiry to the right person.

Follow-ups you've approved, only if they said yes to them

  • Your words. Write the follow-up messages yourself, or start from a draft by Bookara's AI and edit it. Switch follow-ups off for any page.
  • Only with consent. People are asked when they give their name and email, so it also covers anyone who leaves part-way through your questions. If they don't check the box, they get nothing.
  • A short, polite sequence. Up to four emails, sent only in the daytime where they live. Each has a link back to where they left off and, for people who reached your times, the next few free ones on different days. The last one says it's the last.
  • It stops by itself. The moment someone books or unsubscribes, the follow-ups stop.
  • See what it brings back. Bookara tracks which bookings each follow-up email recovered.
  • Easy to say no. Every reminder and follow-up has a one-click unsubscribe.
  • Confirmations always arrive. Booking, reschedule and cancellation emails always go out, with a calendar invite attached.

Teams

  • Round robin: share inquiries fairly between the people who take them.
  • Collective calls: offer only times when everyone needed is free.
  • Routing: send each inquiry to the right person from their answers.

Payments

  • Paid appointments: invitees pay when they book, into your own Stripe account, and Bookara adds no fee.
  • The time is held while they pay. If the calendar can't take it, they're refunded automatically, and refunds follow your cancellation cut-off.
  • Free and paid meeting types side by side.

Changes

  • Invitees reschedule or cancel from a link in their confirmation.
  • Move a booking yourself, or ask the invitee to pick a new time. Every calendar is updated first.

Fewer no-shows

  • Reminders, 24 hours and 1 hour before by default, with a “Yes, I'll be there” check.
  • No-show rates by confirmation, reminders, lead time, page, host, source, day and time, and paid or free.
  • A funnel from started to turned up, and which sources bring bookings. After a no-show, you can send one rebooking email, inviting them to pick a new time.

Ready-made workflows

  • Ten industry templates, with questions and rules you can edit: consulting, agencies, B2B demos, wellness, legal, salons, real estate, financial advice and tutoring.

Calendar and connections

  • Your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar's busy times. Paste your calendar's private address and Bookara won't offer a time that clashes with anything in it. It re-reads it every 10 minutes and keeps only when you're busy, never what the events are. Add repeating busy times too, like a school run.
  • No double bookings. Bookings are confirmed only after they're written to your calendar, and overlapping bookings are refused.
  • Signed webhooks. Each booking goes wherever you need it, and they work with Zapier's and Make's webhook triggers.
  • Bookings by phone. A booking API with voice keys, which Onda's AI receptionist uses to book calls into your Bookara calendar.
  • Your website. Embed any booking page with a short snippet, or share its link.
