Security and data
How Bookara handles your data
Each workspace is separate and only its members can see it; a manage link opens one booking and nothing else. Data is hosted with Render in the United States, connection tokens are encrypted, and customer data isn't shared with other New Odyssey products or used to train AI models.
What Bookara holds
- Account details: email address, name if added, and where you came from when you signed up.
- Workspace settings, booking pages, available hours, qualifying questions and rules, and message settings.
- The people who book: name, email, time zone, answers, notes, consent to reminders and follow-ups, and booking history.
- Connections you choose (calendars, Zoom, HubSpot, Stripe payouts), with tokens encrypted; API keys and webhook secrets only as hashes or encrypted values.
- Billing: plan and subscription status. Card details are held by Stripe.
How long it’s kept, and how to export or delete it
Data is kept while the workspace exists, including after a plan is canceled. Owners can delete one person's data, a booking page or the whole workspace, which takes effect immediately; hosting backups expire on Render's standard schedule, and a minimal security log with no booking content is kept.
The full detail is in Bookara’s data export and deletion policy.
Who processes it
Service providers (subprocessors), each on our instructions and only for the purpose shown:
- Render: hosting, databases and backups, in the United States.
- Stripe: subscription and license payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us).
- Resend: sending email.
- Anthropic: drafting your booking questions.
- OpenAI: reading replies to follow-up emails so a reply asking to stop stops them, when switched on.
Questions and security reports
Bookara is run by New Odyssey. To ask what we hold about you, to have it exported or deleted, or to report a security problem, email clio@new-odyssey.com. The privacy policy covers the rest.
Questions buyers ask
Does AI decide who gets a call, and what happens to my booking data?
No. Bookara's AI drafts your questions, rules and follow-ups for you to edit, and the fixed rules you saved decide who sees times. Each workspace is separate, data is hosted with Render in the United States, it isn't used to train AI models, and owners can export or delete everything at any time.
